 | V Festival
Stone Roses and The Killers are to headline this year's Virgin Media V Festival at Weston Park, Staffordshire. The reformed Manchester band and the 'Somebody Told Me' hitmakers will top the bill at the annual event, which takes place across the weekend of August 18 and 19.
Other acts announced to perform this year include Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol, The Happy Mondays, David Guetta, Emeli Sande, Professor Green, Rizzle Kicks, The Ting Tings and Tinie Tempah. Example, Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Noah and the Whale, James Morrison, the Stranglers and The Proclaimers will also feature across the weekend. Weekend and Camping tickets including return coach travel are still available with departure points across the North of England and North Wales.

Kelly Clarkson
US superstar Kelly Clarkson returns to the UK this autumn for an Arena tour that kicks off at Manchester Arena on Friday 12 October. Kelly has already achieved huge success with the release of her fifth studio album Stronger. She turned on the Regent Street Christmas Lights, and single 'What Doesn't Kill You' is still riding high in the airplay charts.Since bursting onto the music scene 10 years ago, Kelly Clarkson has released five studio albums (Thankful, Breakaway, My December, All I Ever Wanted), sold over 20 million albums worldwide, had seven top ten singles in the UK and has sold over 3.5 million units in the UK alone. So far she has won 2 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 11 Billboard Awards. Clarkson's last effort, 2009's All I Ever Wanted produced the smash singles - "My Life Would Suck Without You", which charted at number one and went platinum in the UK, and "Already Gone." Joining Kelly on the arena tour will be Barbadian four piece Cover Drive. Cover Drive have had three top 10 singles in the UK so far including the Caribbean-infused pop single 'Twilight', 'Lick Ya Down' and their latest track 'Sparks'.

Manchester music legend Morrissey is to play a homecoming concert at the Manchester Arena this summer - his only British show of 2012. The former Smiths frontman returns to his hometown Manchester Arena for the first time since 2004's celebrated Who Put The 'M' In Manchester show to perform tracks from his classic albums You Are The Quarry, Vauxhall And I, Years Of Refusal and Ringleaders Of The Tormentors. The last time he performed in Manchester was at two sell-out shows at the Apollo in May 2009 as part of his 50th birthday celebrations.

Rush
Legendary rock trio Rush return to the Manchester Arena next spring to celebrate the release of their latest album Clockwork Angels. 2013's show will be their first Manchester appearance since 2011's Time Machine UK tour which saw the band perform their 1981 prog-rock classic album in its entirety. Following 2011's tour the Canadian trio were described by Metal Hammer as "one of the last great bands standing", The Sun as "a blend of power, subtlety, soaring choruses" and Kerrang as "the world's biggest and best cult band". Rush now return to showcase tracks from their latest album Clockwork Angels, their first studio album in over five years, alongside hits from their best selling albums Test For Echo, 2112, Moving Pictures, Vapour Trails, Snakes & Arrows and 1974's self-titled debut.

After tickets for their first three Manchester Arena concerts sold out in hours, One Direction have added a fourth show for 2013. The British-Irish boy band have sold over 1.6 million records in just four months, had 100 million views on YouTube, two number one selling books, scored two major hit singles and a platinum selling debut album, Up All Night.
The boy's debut single, What Makes You Beautiful, was named 'Best Single' at the Brits after topping the charts last September to become the third fastest selling single of 2011.Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson followed this up with their second single, Gotta Be You, which entered the charts at number three in November. Currently making waves in the USA by entering the US iTunes top ten, the band are about to embark on a tour of America with fellow boy band Big Time Rush. Next year's dates will be the first time the boys have played the Manchester Arena since starring in the X Factor Live Manchester shows last March.

The Voice UK Live
The winner of The Voice and the fellow final seven contestants from the most talked about TV programme of the year will hit the road as part of The Voice Live tour which rolls into the Manchester Arena this autumn. You've watched them in the blind auditions, seen them sing their hearts out in the battles, supported them, tweeted them, now it's your chance to see for yourself the singer who is eventually crowned champion of the show and the seven fellow finalists - a group of the most talented singers in the UK - live on stage in Manchester.The tour will feature performances from the shows winner and top contestants selected, trained and mentored by four of the most successful figures in the music industry - Jessie J, will.i.am, Danny O'Donoghue, and legend Sir Tom Jones.

Following this February's Manchester Arena show, pop sensation Olly Murs has announced his return to Manchester next spring. The former X Factor star will be performing tracks from his first two albums, 2010's self-titled debut and 2011's In Case You Didn't Know, alongside material from his as-yet-untitled third album, due for release later this summer. Olly's first single, Please Don't Let Me Go, debuted at number one in the UK singles chart in 2010 becoming his second number one after You Are Not Alone alongside the other six X Factor finalists. Heart Skips A Beat (featuring Rizzle Kicks) and the follow-up single from his second album, Dance With Me Tonight, also entered the UK singles chart at number one.

Tower Headland Festival
The Wanted and McFly will headline the first of a series of concerts on Blackpool’s brand new Tower Festival Headland on Sunday 24th June 2012. The joint headliners are the first acts to be announced for this fantastic new music event. The Wanted and McFly are two of Britain’s biggest boybands, with certified gold and double platinum albums respectively. McFly have recently hit the headlines again after members Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd both won reality TV contests, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 respectively. Harry Judd will return to Blackpool after winning the shows final at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The Wanted have been enjoying great chart success and have recently been touring in America. They embark on their first sold out UK Arena tour next month. The Tower Festival Headland is situated opposite Blackpool’s famous tower and will house a spectacular open-air events space for up to 20,000 spectators.
